Easter is the perfect time to visit the English Riveria.
Treat yourselves to a short break away after those dull winter days. If you want to get away during Easter then Braddon Hall in Torquay is ideally located to visit South Devon attractions. Here are some great things to do over Easter;
GIN FESTIVAL TORQUAY 2017
Described in Timeout as one of the "Top 10 things to do in 2016," the UK's biggest and oldest Gin Festival is coming to The Riviera International Centre for our first ever event in Devon.
We'll be serving up over 100 different gins (including many new and exclusive gins) plus, new brands, cocktails and masterclasses from industry experts!
THIS EVENT IS STRICTLY OVER 18'S ONLY (ID MAY BE REQUIRED)
Kent Caves is one of the area most popular attractions and a ‘must-see’ in my opinion. These ancient underground caverns go back 2 1/2 million years – you’ll get to see the most amazing stalactites and stalagmites as well as the jaw bone of what is to be believed the oldest human remains in Europe.
Babbacombe model village
Just a short bus ride away, or 5 minutes in the car. I’ve been a fan off Babbacombe Model Village for years and every year it just keeps getting better. There are thousands of miniature models and figures, plus a 4D theatre, Model Railways, Where’s Wally– and of course an Easter Trail the children will love. The Easter Egg Hunt takes place daily from 19 March – 10 April, between 10am-4pm with a chocolate treat for all successful young explorers.
Paignton Zoo is within a 5mile drive of Braddon Hall and one of the country’s top environmental parks. Within your visit you can visit the desert, cross the savannah, explore the forest and trek through the tropics. You may even get to meet the new boy in town.
